Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's good humoured attitude came to the fore during Karan Johar's birthday bash.

Johar turned 42 years on 25 May and threw a grand bash at his posh Bandra residence on Sunday. The event was attended by several famous names of the industry.

The filmmaker's close friend, Shah Rukh, who was initially assumed to have missed the event, actually attended it. The superstar gave the photographers a miss as he sneaked up quietly with his wife Gauri Khan to the bash.

True to his cool and funny avatar, SRK was seen in a good mood at the party as he joked with fellow celebrity guests.

In one instance, Hrithik Roshan who was clicked at the event had approached the "Chennai Express" for a cigarette. But the superstar instead of just giving him the cigarette normally went to say, "Yeh acting wali cigarette hai. After smoking this you will learn how to do this," as he did his characteristic romantic open arm posture, reported Mumbai Mirror.

The comment was met with an apt response as Roshan took the joke in his stride and told SRK, "Now that you have lent me a cigarette, you will be able to do this too," he said, and broke into his famous dance move of "Ek Pal Ka Jeena" song from his debut film "Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai."

The friendly banter between the stars must surely have amused the onlookers at the party.

The 48-year-old was once again caught joking as he met actress Vidya Balan and her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur.

On meeting the celeb couple, Shah Rukh quipped, "I don't want to meet a taller and better looking SRK," reported Masala magazine.

It has to be noted that Balan during her appearance on "Koffee with Karan" with Farhan Akhtar earlier this year, had famously referred her husband Kapur, as her romantic hero and called him her SRK, and the comment was made since both Kapur and Shah Rukh share same name initials.

It appears that the superstar had come to know of Balan's light hearted comments on the show as he came up with a witty take on the matter.

Shah Rukh, who is rigorously shooting for Farah Khan's "Happy New Year" is said to have partied hard. The actor stayed till the early hours at the bash and left directly for the film's shooting as Filmfare editor, Jitesh Pillaai, who was present at the do revealed in his Twitter post.

While the party boasted of several celebs, Johar's newest friend and Shah Rukh's rival Salman Khan was missing from the event. Salman's absence could be a possible reason that SRK appeared in good spirits and stayed late at the event.
