Rahul Dholakia's "Raees" has been making news ever since Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in and latest reports suggest that the superstar has finally started shooting for the film.

Initially rumours had it that Katrina Kaif had been approached to play the female lead role, but the latest buzz is that the gorgeous actress will make a special appearance in the film.

Apparently, Katrina will be grooving to a dance number in the Shah Rukh starrer, according to Zee News.

If rumours are anything to go by, this would be the second time that Shah Rukh and Katrina will be sharing screen space after "Jab Tak Hain Jaan" (2012).

With Katrina joining the team of "Raees", the actress - who sizzled in "Chikni Chameli" from "Agneepath" (2012) - is expected to charm viewers' with yet another item number.

Co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan's Excel Entertainment, "Raees" was supposed to go on floors on 1 November last year, but got delayed owing to SRK's packed schedule.

The story of "Raees" is set in the 1980s in Ahmedabad and the makers plan to shoot a few portions of the film in old Ahmedabad and Saurashtra as well. SRK will be seen playing the role of a Gujarati bootlegger in the film.

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who is known for her television show "Humsafar", will be seen opposite King Khan. "Raees" also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who will be seen playing a cop.

There were reports that the "Happy New Year" star who has recently wrapped up "Fan" shoot, will shoot a few scenes for "Raees" before he starts off with Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale".
