Controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 9" recorded a major spike in its TRP ratings in the week which saw Shah Rukh and Salman Khan bond big time, leaving their misunderstandings behind.

According to Zoom TV, cashing in on their freshly-revived friendship are organisers of a prestigious award function, who are looking to pull the superstars onboard to co-host the show.

With most award shows already held, the only two biggies left in the list are Filmfare Awards and IIFA. Chances of SRK hosting the former is high as he has been doing it for years now. But for IIFA, he has donned the anchor's shoes just once, alongside Shahid Kapoor.

However, since there has been no official announcement yet, this can, at best, be considered a speculation.

What's interesting to note is, Salman reacted positively to SRK visiting "BB9" for "Dilwale". "We are coming together on television for the first time... so it's a good start," he told India Today, last year, which clearly means the chancs of them coming together again isn't impossible. But, a film looks bleak.

"There is no such plan of working in a film together. If you just look at our calendars, our spaces are full. Personally, my calendar is full. I am sure Salman is also busy. He is shooting for 'Sultan' right now and he told me about his another film," the Press Trust of India quoted SRK as saying.
