Putting an end to speculations, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming venture "Chennai Express" will have an exclusive promotional track composed and sung by rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

The track has been titled as "Lungi Dance" and is a special tribute to the fans of south Indian superstar Rajinikanth. The shooting of the song was reportedly done on Thursday.

Earlier, rumours were doing the rounds that the rapper might compose a song for "Chennai  Express". However, music composer of the film, Vishal Dadlani denied the reports and mentioned in a micro blogging site that Singh was not rendering any song for the movie and was trying ride on Shah Rukh Khan's fame.

"It's hilarious and pathetic, how desperately this tacky rap-rapper is trying to ride on the fame of @iamsrk and #ChennaiExpress. Poor guy," Vishal Dadlani had earlier tweeted.

Vishal had also brushed off the rumours and told The Hindustan Times, "I just spoke to Rohit Shetty. He told me that he had read such reports but those are false. If Rohit Shetty doesn't know about Honey Singh's song in Chennai Express, I am sure there is none."

Although Vishal took on Singh rather harshly, the latter maintained silence throughout the allegations.

The makers of "Chennai Express" uploaded the audio of "Lungi Dance" on 18 July on Youtube with the description -"Presenting Honey Singh latest song "Lungi Dance" featuring Shahrukh Khan,Deepika Padukone. This song is a tribute to all Rajnikanth sir fans!!".

Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Chennai Express" is one of the most hyped movies of the year starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The action comedy was set to hit screens on 8 August but it has been postponed to 9 August to coincide the auspicious occasion of Eid.

Confirming the reports of the change in the release date, Gaurav Verma, director of Theatrical Distribution, Studios, Disney UTV told Press Trust of India, "We always wanted to come on Eid. And now as the festival will be celebrated on August 9, which also happens to be a bank holiday, it makes sense to release the film on the same day."
