Shah Rukh Khan's untitled film with Aanand L Rai is in its scripting stage, but the casting speculations are on. Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Ali Bhatt are some of the names that have been associated with the project so far.

A SpotboyE report suggests that it's Kareena Kapoor Khan who seems to have been finalised for the role. Interestingly, there were reports last month that the actress has been looking closely at three projects, and Aanand's film isn't one of them.

Meanwhile, SRK's next with the filmmaker relies heavily on special effects as the superstar will be essaying the role of a dwarf. Elaborating on the premise, the director told the Hindu that at its heart, it's a love story.

The 50-year-old actor is confident that technology wise the film won't be difficult to shoot. His VFX team and Aanand are working out the details of it. "It will need tightening. We will do it once and fail, maybe. But we will get it right because it has been done previously. I think it has been tried in The Hobbit. But we have never used that technology in India," DNA quoted SRK as saying.

Since he has suffered knee injuries, he won't be able to shoot it being on his knees. Also, he believes, that would look unrealistic in today's time and age. "So we are trying to figure out and we are doing R&D already. Aanand has a collection of ideas about what we have to do. If need be, we will figure out how to do it abroad and then bring it here," he added.

In other news, Shah Rukh's "Raees" is ready to be released but the makers are still figuring out a date to put out their film. Earlier, it was scheduled to open in theatres with Salman Khan's "Sultan."
