Amid speculations that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan would step into his arch rival Salman Khan's shoes as the host of the next season of television reality show - Bigg Boss, sources said that it's not true.

Rumours were rife of late that Salman, who hosted the last three seasons of the reality show, may opt out of it due to hectic movie schedules and health issues. It was also said that to keep up the Target Rating Point (TRP) of Big Boss, the team behind the show were planning to rope in Shah Rukh to host the show.

However, the makers of the show have reportedly rubbished the rumours of Shah Rukh taking over Salman as the host of Bigg Boss in its seventh season.

A highly-placed source at Colors channel, which airs the show, said, "Big Boss and Salman have become synonymous. As far as we're concerned, the two brands are inseparable. We've to admit, the show has benefited immensely from Salman's presence," reported Daily Bhaskar.

"At the same time Salman too has discovered an added connectivity with the home-viewing audience. His attitude really works for the show, and there is no chance of us letting it go," the source added.

Reacting to reports of SRK replacing Salman, the source said, "We don't know where that came from. Certainly not from us. Our channel may have met Shah Rukh, we aren't discounting that possibility. It could be to discuss another show .But certainly not for Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss is a brand that gets its power from Salman's presence. It's what "Dabangg" is to Salman's screen image or "Singham" is to Ajay Devgn. No one can imagine the Bigg Boss brand without Salman."

According to report, the makers of the show are ready to wait or even re-shuffle the next season depending on Salman's availability. The producers of Bigg Boss, Endemol, have reportedly agreed to hike the fee of the "Dabangg" star to host the next season.
