Serena Williams has created a stir by crashing a wedding in Miami, Fl. The tennis star was unwinding at the beach with fellow tennis player Caroline Wozniacki on May 31, when she came across a beach wedding. Taking the opportunity, William crashed Ruth and Sam Kormoi's nuptials, wearing a leopard-print swimsuit.

Williams posted picture with the bride and the groom on Instagram, in which she could be seen smiling alongside the couple.

"Wedding crasher!! Congrats!" she captioned the photo.

Williams added another photo from the wedding and captioned it "Bikini wedding crasher."

"During the wedding, a few people realized that Serena Williams was at the beach," Sam, the groom revealed to the People. "I wasn't surprised, being that they're celebrities, that she was staying in South Beach Miami anyway. I didn't think anything about taking a picture; I was more focused on, you know, our wedding and vows. Fast forward to the end of the wedding, we're proceeding out, and a lot of the people said, 'Call her over ...,"

Sam further threw light on how Williams' ended up getting photographed.

"I told my friend Eddie, 'Eddie, go and see if she wouldn't mind taking a picture.'"

Williams was more than happy to get photographed with the bride and groom.

The bride, Ruth was also ecstatic to have Williams on her big day.

"She said congratulations, and she gave me a hug – that was the first thing she did. That was when she was like, 'Let's take pictures!' Everyone was so ecstatic, they kept running up. But we were able to get pictures, which was a great thing," Ruth said.

Meanwhile, Williams is understood to have had a great time with Wozniacki, who recently suffered a heartbreak from her engagement being called off with golfer Rory McIlroy. The 23-year-old looked happy as she strolled the beach in a blue striped bikini.

The golfer is said to have called off the engagement over the phone.

Christopher Clarey, a columnist and correspondent with The New York Times, confirmed the information via twitter.

"Learned today at Roland Garros that Rory McIlroy called off his engagement with Caroline Wozniacki by telephone. Tough to comprehend that," he wrote.

The tennis player refused to talk about the split at a press conference later.

"I am happy to talk about my match but not my personal life.I hope you will understand that. I want to thank everyone for their support and sweet messages," she said, according to Belfast Telegraph.
