Moradabad, July 5 (ANI): Security has been beefed up in Moradabad city on Saturday, following a violent clash between BJP workers and police. The detention of BJP leaders, workers and supporters while on their way to attend a huge religious gathering (Mahapanchayat) in Moradabad, led to clash with police and the SP workers. A District Magistrate and a police official were injured in the stone-pelting by protesters. Police resorted to rounds of firing to control the unruly mob. A senior official, Shiv Shanakr Singh, said 62 people were arrested for instigating violence and situation was tensed but under control.
