'Scorpion' Season 3 spoilers: Toby and Happy's relationship to get more complicated in the upcoming season?

Season 2 of CBS action-drama series "Scorpion" left several questions unanswered and fans of the series are eagerly looking forward to find the answers in the season 3.

In Season 2 finale, Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) finally proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Happy (Jadyn Wong). Unfortunately, it didn't go as Toby was expecting. Happy turned his proposal down and immediately left the headquarters, without explaining anything to him.

It was later revealed that Happy was still married to someone else and Toby had no idea about it, which made the situation more complicated for him.

Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Thomas hinted about the show's return and what fans can expect in the next season.

"I'm excited for the season 3 premiere to see how the [fallout] of the season finale is played out amongst the team because what happened with Toby and Happy has big ramifications," Thomas said.

Walter (Elyes Gabel) will be also recovering from a heartbreak in the next season as after he decided to finally confess his love to Paige (Katharine McPhee), he found out that she had already gone for a vacation with Tim (Scott Porter).

Whether Walter has a chance with Paige or will she choose Tim instead, will be seen once the series returns. Talking about the possible romance between Walter and Paige, Thomas said:

"After the very last scene of the finale, as much as that has answered things, it's going to make the season premiere that much more exciting. So many questions and wants and needs for Walter and Paige and Happy and Toby are being opened up, and it's really exciting. I'm so grateful that we have clever writers who are listening to the fans and staying true to their original vision for the show."

The exact release date of "Scorpion" Season 3 is yet to be announced. However, fans can expect to see their favourite show returning in the second half of this year.
