Kanpur/Moradabad, Aug 28 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh is reeling under scorching heat wave that is unusual in the month of August. Meanwhile irregular power cuts have added to the woes of people. In Kanpur people said that they had never experienced such hot weather conditions in the month of August before. Irked by the irregular power supply, a resident Alok Srivastav said that lack of rains this year had lead to such extreme weather conditions. The Weather department said one of the causes of heat wave was lack of rains in north India. Meanwhile in Moradabad, people hit the streets demanding electricity. Protesters held burning torches at night and shouting slogans against the state government for their inaction.
