Kolkata, Aug 27 (ANI): The High Court in Kolkata has extended the CBI custody of city-based businessman Sandhir Aggarwal who was arrested for his alleged role in the Saradha chit fund scam. His lawyer said that they tried to get him out on bail but the Court extended his CBI custody till September 1. Agarwal is suspected to have acted as a middleman with SEBI and other regulatory bodies for Saradha Group Chief Sudipto Sen and shielded him from action, according to CBI sources.
