The first song of "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" featuring Prithviraj and Reenu Mathews is released.

The song, which begins with the line "Thaane Pookum" is composed by Rex Vijayan and is sung by Job Kurien and Saptaparna Chakraborty. The lyrics are written by Engandiyoor Chandrasekharan.

Director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon has used this song to narrate the love story of the characters played by Prithviraj and Reenu.

In the beginning of the song, they are seen as strangers, who meet at a bus stop while they go to their respective jobs. Day by day, they become familiar and one day Reenu drops her lunch box while struggling to catch the bus. Noticing this, Prithviraj goes with a pizza to the school where Reenu is working.

They become friends and eventually fall in love. Soon, the heroine is seen leaving her home to get married to the hero.

The newly married couple is so much in love and leads a happy and simple life. The song ends with some funny scenes where the husband is seen helping his pregnant wife by doing the households.

Meanwhile, "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha:" revolves around the life of seven thieves, including Krishnanunni played by Prithviraj, Shahab played by Asif Ali, Noblettan played by Nedumudi Venu and Narayanankutty played by Neeraj Madhav, Salaam played by Salaam Bhukhari, Vasu played by Sudheer Karamana and Marty played by Chemban Vinod.

The film also has Mongolian circus artiste Flower Battsetseg, Reenu Mathews, Joy Mathew and Sanusha in pivotal roles.

The team had earlier released its trailer, which became an instant hit online. The trailer shows the characters speaking in Thrissur accent, which is often considered as a lucky charm in Malayalam cinema.

The film is set as an Onam release on 6 September and is produced by Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan and Prithviraj under the banner of August Cinemas.
