Electronics major Samsung has unveiled three brand new touch screen monitors - two in S7 series and one in S9 pre-calibrated monitor series - just a week ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

"We are committed to serving an expanding market of aspiring young professionals with the professional-grade monitors that match their needs," said Junghhwan Kim, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

He further said, "As the industry leader for seven consecutive years, Samsung is exploring new technology that provides discerning users with affordable, cutting-edge monitors that deliver a differentiated user experience."

Samsung claimed that the Series 7 SC770 touch monitor is its first multi-touch display optimized for Windows 8. The monitor supports 10-points of simultaneous multi-touch. 

The Series 7 SC750 monitor sports a slim, ergonomic design that is capable of turning to an angle of flat 90-degree and the monitor features 5000:1 contrast ratio.

The Series 9 SC970 boasts of HD screen with PLS (Plane Line Switching) technology-based panel.

Panel Type^- modern MVA (Multi-domain Vertical Alignment), WVA and PLS (Plane Line Switching ) panels offer wide viewing angles, good colour reproduction and fast response time.

Samsung has stated that all three monitors will be displayed next week at the annual trade show.

The South Korean company also stated that the Series 7 SC750 monitor and Series 7 SC770 touch monitors will be available worldwide in the first quarter of 2013.

However, the company has not mentioned the date of availability of Series 9 SC970 monitor.
