With Samsung's flagship 'Unpacked 2013 Episode 2' event just a few days to go, the company's most-awaited smartwatch Galaxy Gear specs have surfaced online.

Technology website, Among Tech citing sources from the Samsung's Texas based warehouse has revealed that the upcoming Galaxy Gear would come in 6GB and 8GB variants. It sport a 2.5-inch OLED touchscreen display with 320x320 resolutions and run on the Android Jelly Bean OS powered by a dual-core processor with 1GB RAM.

The smartwatch is also said to boast of a 4.0-megapixel camera with 720p HD image resolutions, speakers on the device strap and feature Bluetooth v4.0 LE and accelerometer. The website claimed the smartwatch would run close to 10 hours which is a bit disappointing considering its rival Sony's smartwatch having a long battery life of three to four days.

Going by the report, doubts arise if it is possible to bundle these fanciful high-end specifications into a 2.5-inch device. We can only be sure once the South Korean technology giant, Samsung pulls off the wrap of its first ever flagship wearable device Galaxy Gear on 4 September at Berlin. The event will also witness the launch of third generation Galaxy Note.
