World's top smartphone maker Samsung is reportedly working to launch an entry-level smartphone in the Galaxy series.

Samsung community website SamMobile claims that Samsung will be releasing the 'Galaxy Star' quite soon. Since the international mobile convention MWC (Mobile World Congress) is scheduled to kick-off next week, many believe that Galaxy Star's debut seems imminent this month.

According to SamMobile, Galaxy Star is expected to hit stores around mid-April.

Samsung's Galaxy Star will not be the highlight at the MWC 2013; Finnish handset maker Nokia is also expected to launch its entry-level Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 smartphones, as well as the high-end Lumia 1000 smartphone (code-named EOS) next week.

South Korean company LG too will be showcasing its new series of Optimus L7-II, L5-II and L3-II smartphones as well as the 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro high-end phablet in the upcoming event.

MWC 2013 is scheduled to take place at Barcelona, Spain during 25-28 February.
