After months of speculations, Samsung finally unveiled Galaxy A-series smartphones A5 and A3.
"The Galaxy A5 and A3 offer a beautifully crafted full metal unibody, slim design, superior hardware and the best possible social media experience," said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics.
"These devices make our advanced Galaxy experience even more accessible to young and trend conscious consumers," he added.
The new Galaxy A5 boasts Unibody design with metal frame around the corners and flaunts 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) super AMOLED screen.
Under the hood, it houses 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB), 13.0-megapixel camera, 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a 2,300 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.
On the other hand, Galaxy A3 is the watered-down version of A5. It features 4.5-inch qHD (540x960p) super AMOLED display with Adaptive display technology and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB), 8-megapixel camera, 5.0-megapixel front camera and a 1,900 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.
The company has confirmed that both A5 and A3 will hit the stores in select markets (including China) in November. However, the details regarding the specific release time and price are still under wraps.
