Top smartphone maker Samsung launched two new Galaxy J5 and J7 series handsets in India on Thursday, 16 July.

The company claims that the new Galaxy J7 and J5 are ultimate gaming oriented phones (in mid-range category). They boast advanced 64-bit class  SoC (System on Chip) backed by 1.5GB RAM, which Samsung assures is enough to give super smooth functioning and there will also be less lag while playing power-intensive games.

Besides boasting Snapdragon chipsets, they also come with top-notch cameras. Both ship with a feature-rich 13mp camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, auto-focus and on the front, they ship with feature-rich 5mp 85-degree wide-angle camera, which can extend up to 120-degree and to enrich photography experience. The camera is equipped with LED flash to get perfect picture under low-light environment.

Key difference between Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 is that the former model features a bigger 5.5-inch HD screen, powered by efficient 64-bit class Samsung Exynos 7580 processor with 3000 mAh battery, whereas the latter, ships with smaller 5.0-inch display , Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU and 2600 mAh cell.

The company has confirmed that the new Galaxy J5 and J7 will be exclusively sold on Flipkart for ₹11,999 and ₹14,999. Pre-booking window will go live later today at 4:00 pm.

Competition:

Samsung Galaxy J5 will be up against the popular Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria, Xiaomi Mi 4i and soon to be released Micromax Canvas Sliver 5.

Whereas the Galaxy J7 will be competing with Asus Zenfone 2, OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi4, Meizu M1 Note, Lenovo K3 Note and the recently released Xolo Black.
