Samsung launches Galaxy A9 Pro in India; price, specifications

After weeks of speculations, Samsung finally announced the launch of the company's mammoth 6.0-inch smartphone, the Galaxy A9 Pro in India on Friday.

The Galaxy A9 Pro was originally unveiled in China in late March. Now, the feature-rich Samsung phablet is set to hit stores later this month.

The Galaxy A9 Pro features a full metal cover on the back and a 6.0-inch full HD super AMOLED screen on the front.

Under the hood, it comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8976) 652 octa-core, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 16MP primary camera, an 8MP front snapper and a massive 5,000mAh to power the big screen.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro India release and price details:

Samsung's Galaxy A9 Pro costs Rs. 32,490 and comes in three-colour options - Gold, Black and White. It will be made available in stores from Sept. 26, 2016 onwards.

Going by the features, the Galaxy A9 Pro is an apt alternative to the Galaxy Note7, which costs a whopping Rs. 59,900 in India.

Competition:

The new Galaxy A9 is poised to give a stiff challenge to Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra and will be competing with Xiaomi Mi Max, among other phablets in the market.
