South Korean tech giant Samsung has started selling the Copper Gold colour Galaxy S5 in India.
The company has listed the new colour variant of Galaxy S5 on the official e-store with the name Golden. The new version will also go for sales in the country with the same price tag of ₹51,000. Originally Samsung launched Black, Blue and White colour variants of Galaxy S5 in India. Now, with the addition of new Golden variant, Samsung hopes to appeal to the Indian customer further as the colour always stands for luxury.
In addition to the new colour variant of Galaxy S5, Samsung also has various offers in store for the handset in the country. With every purchase of Galaxy S5 till 31 May 2014; Samsung is offering a gift coupon worth ₹5000 via SMS, which can be redeemed at Samsung India store before 15 June. The customers can use the coupon to buy accessories, wearables, mobiles and tablets from the online store. Samsung is also offering free subscription of premium applications.
Though the Galaxy S5 is originally priced ₹51,000, the online retailers and the brick and mortar stores are selling the device for as low as ₹45,000. To recapitulate, Samsung Galaxy S5 sports 5.1-inch full HD (1920x1080p) super AMOLED screen with pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI.
In India, Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) is powered by Adinos Prime 2 processor (1.9GHz quad-cores + 1.3GHz quad-cores+ XMM6360) and supports only 3G network. The smartphone features finger-print sensor (on home button), water-and-dust resistant body (IP67 certifications), heart-rate monitor (below camera module), download boaster, fifth generation Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO 2x2) and a 2800 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.
