Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Launch Pushed to July: Reports

The miniature variant of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4 which was earlier expected to get launched in mid-May has been reportedly postponed to the third week of July.

Samsung community website, SamMobile, has claimed that the Galaxy S4 mini launch has been pushed to almost two months, from week 21 (May third week) to week 29 (Mid-July). The report seems to suggest that Samsung fears that the new miniature Galaxy S4 variant might hurt sales of the bigger sibling Galaxy S4 as it is expected to hit stores globally next month.

Considering that Galaxy S4 mini's rumoured specs had leaked into the internet, Samsung has enough reasons to postpone the launch event as it might force prospective buyers to rethink and go for the smaller and cheaper Galaxy S4 Mini.

Galaxy S4 Mini is speculated to sport a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and it is expected to run on Android v4.2.2 OS Jelly Bean powered by quad-core processor (Single-SIM variant). The dual-SIM variant is expected to pack a dual-core processor. The smartphones are expected to come in two colours - Black Mist and White Frost.

Rumours of the mini Galaxy S4 have been floating around in the media since the launch of Galaxy S4 in March. Just a couple of days ago, the South Korean company reportedly confirmed the imminent launch of Galaxy S4 mini when it showed up on the company's UAPROF website with a model number and display features.
