The much rumoured Galaxy S Duos 2, successor of 2012 model Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562) has been released in India via online store.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 (GT-S7582) has been descreetly put for up for sale at the official India eStore for ₹10,999 (MRP), whereas the private online store Infibeam is offering the same device for a couple of 100 bucks less.   

As speculated earlier, the device sports 4.0-inhc WVGA (480x800p) TFT screen and ships with the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.

Under-the-hood, Galaxy S Duos 2 packs 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB memory (expandable up to 64GB), 1500 mAh battery, 5.0-megapixel main camera and 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-side camera. On connectivity front, it features 3G network support, Dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-FI (802.11 b/g/n, 2.4GHz) and A-GPS/GLONASS for navigation.

The new phone will be up against local players such as Micromax Canvas 2 Plus, Karbonn Titanium S2, Xolo Q800 and MNC brands -Nokia Lumia 520, Sony Xperia M and many others.

In related news, Samsung is also rumoured to release the recently unveiled mid-range phablet Galaxy Grand 2 in India next month.
