Samsung is reportedly set to launch yet another device called the Galaxy On7 (2016). The South Korean technology giant has released over a dozen handsets this year, including the Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7, Galaxy J1 (2016), Galaxy J3 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2016), Galaxy J7 (2016), Galaxy A9 (2016), Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), Galaxy C5, Galaxy C7, Galaxy J2 (2016), and Galaxy J Max, and now it appears to be getting ready to release the successor of Galaxy On7 (2015).

Samsung is tight-lipped on the Galaxy On7 (2016) but it has been approved by the Chinese telecom equipment certification authority TENAA, giving a clear hint that its release date is not far off. It is reported that the device could be launched either in August or September.

According to TENAA listing, the Galaxy On7 (2016) has been spotted with a 5.5-inch display with 1,920×1,080 resolution, measures 151.5×74.9×8.0 mm in dimension, weighs 166.7 g, and powered by a 3,300mAh battery. A Samsung device with model of number SM-G610F, believed to be the Galaxy On7 (2016), has also been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench with an Exynos 7870 processor, a 3GB RAM, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

However, the same device has been spotted with a 4.8-inch HD (1,280x720p) screen, a 64-bit class Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, an Adreno 506 graphics engine, a 16GB internal memory and a 3GB RAM on GFXBench listing. It is also reported that the device will mount a 13MP main camera, and an 8MP front-snapper.

On the other hand, the Galaxy On7 that was released in 2015 and sports a 5.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (267 ppi pixel density), powered by a 1.2GHz Exynos 3475 quad-core processor, runs a Android 5.1 Lollipop (upgradable to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow), and houses a 3,000mAh battery. It also has an 8GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, a 1.5GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/2.1 aperture, autofocus and LED flash, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a price tag of at Rs. 10,990.
