Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is not very far away. The much-anticipated device is expected to be released in August by the time its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5, completes a year cycle in the market. It is also reported that the next-generation handset might come as early as mid-July, but it's not confirmed at the moment.

Expectation on the Galaxy Note 6 is bound to be high, like other devices from the Note series. It will come with several upgrades, especially hardware. There are reports that it may come with a S Pen with dual functionality, a foldable one, as mentioned in Samsung's patent that has been published by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, but it may not impress fans and users of the Note devices.

One of the biggest disappointments of the Galaxy Note 5 was the absence of expandable memory option. Samsung has reintroduced the feature in the recently released Galaxy S7, so, gadget lovers will expect microSD card slot in the upcoming Galaxy Note 6.

It may be noted that the Galaxy Note 5 has a powerful non-removable Li-Po 3,000mAh battery, but its users still complain about short battery life. The Note devices consume lots of battery as it has big screen and high resolution display. So, the upcoming next-generation smartphone may likely house a huge battery.

Samsung fans may want to see a camera with better performance like the one seen in the Galaxy S7 -- 12MP main camera with features like f/1.7 aperture, 26mm, OIS, 1/2.6" sensor size, 1.4 µm pixel size and 9MP image recording, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/1.7 aperture. The upcoming Galaxy Note 6 is be expected to have a similar or same camera seen in the Galaxy S7.

Another feature that fans may want to see in the Galaxy Note 6 is IP68-certification. Samsung has not brought waterproof feature to its Note devices till date, while it has been introduced to the S series. The Note handset users will surely want to see this feature in the Note 5 successor.

According to reports that have surfaced so far, the Galaxy Note 6 will sport 5.8-inch display with 2,560x1,440 pixels, powered by a 2.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, run Android N, and come packed with a 64GB/128GB internal memory and a 6GB RAM.
