Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date: Company Exec Confirms The Release In September Alongside Samsung PaySamsung Mobile

After ailing profits and declining sales of its smartphones, Samsung upped the ante on its flagship line of Galaxy smartphones. The dual-edged screen on the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, unveiled alongside the Galaxy S6 at the MWC 2015, is the hot topic of discussion in the crowded smartphone world. But the Korean tech giant is not stopping at just that as a Samsung's top executive revealed that its unique dual-curved display will be seen in the next Galaxy Note model.

Samsung originally introduced the edge display concept in its Galaxy Note 4 Edge smartphone in September last year. The phablet was well-received among critics and consumers alike. But the company mastered the curved display technology in its Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, which features swept back display on two sides of the phone.

At a press conference held in Barcelona on Monday, the VP of Samsung Products Strategy Team Roh Tae-moon, revealed that the successful dual curved display will embrace the upcoming Galaxy Note, mostly the Galaxy Note 5 Edge, according to a report by Korean Herald.

"There is a possibility that Samsung will introduce the curved display for the Galaxy Note lineup," the publication quoted Tae-moon as saying.

If Samsung's tradition of releasing new Galaxy Note models annually continues, we will be lucky to see the unannounced Galaxy Note 5 in September 2015. Given the latest announcement, Galaxy Note 5 will be accompanied by an Edge variant, just like the 2014 launch.

The prominent Galaxy S line failed to make a strong appeal to its consumers in the past two years, but it looks like the Korean tech giant is getting back on its feet with its best game. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge speak for themselves. The highly-rewarded reviews for the handset's design, features and performance are likely to work in Samsung's favor to regain its dominance in the competitive smartphone race.

No further details about the next Galaxy Note were revealed during Monday's press conference but there's a lot of time ahead of us before the official launch. During this time, we are highly expected to get some inside rumors and speculations about the upcoming phablet.
