Hype around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has gained momentum with its release date drawing close. Expectations on the device are huge and it is very likely to come with significant feature upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 4 but it could disappoint fans and prospective buyers for two reasons when it is launched.

The South Korean electronics giant is tight-lipped on its upcoming device but SamMobile has claimed citing insiders that it will be announced on 12 August before releasing to the stores on 21 August. The report came as a surprise, as Samsung has the tradition of releasing its Note devices at the IFA event held in September every year.

Several features of the device have been leaked over the last few weeks but many fans and prospective buyers will not be happy with two minor changes Samsung is likely to bring to the device. The possible changes could be seen as minor by some but many might not even think of a Note device without them.

We are talking about microSD card slot and removable battery.

The recently released Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are great devices and received accolades from critics but fans were not happy after the company do away with microSD card slot and removable battery.

The fact is Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users are supposed to need more memory and powerful battery, as the device is designed for heavier task compared to the Galaxy series smartphones. So, there are possibilities of gadget lovers and fans ditching the upcoming device if it these two features are not seen when launched.

For now, possibility of the device not having a microSD card slot and removable battery is more.

According to a report by GSM Arena, case maker ITSKINS has sent renders of the upcoming Note device, which not only revealed its dimensions and control layout, but also hinted that it might come without microSD card slot and removable battery. It was earlier reported that the device might come with a glass back like the Galaxy S6, which means Samsung had to compromise with some of its features whether fans like it or not.

Samsung has not revealed whether the Galaxy Note 5 will have microSD card slot and removable battery but fans will be disappointed if these features are not seen in the device.

It is reported that the Galaxy Note 5 will sport a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, powered by Exynos 7422 processor, come packed with a 16 GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM, house a 16 MP camera and have an ejectable S-pen.
