Samsung has confirmed to host the company flagship launch event 'Galaxy Unpacked 2015' on 13 August.

Going by the recent teasers released by the company, in all probability, it is set to launch Galaxy Note 5 and the rumoured Galaxy S6 Edge Plus on Thursday. It is also expected to unveil a new tablet as well.

The 'Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015' will be hosted at New York City, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, 11:00 am PDT (08:30 pm IST) on 13 August. The company has confirmed that the launch event will streamed live online on Samsung's dedicated webcast page (HERE), Samsung Philippines page (HERE), Samsung UK page (HERE), the company's official blog Samsung Tomorrow (HERE) and the official YouTube Channel (HERE).

Going by the previous years, Samsung usually host launch in Germany, just days ahead of IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) around September.

But this time Samsung has strayed off the regular launch schedule and has pre-poned the event to August and decided to pull the wraps of the new devices at New York City.

It is believed that Samsung decided to advance the event so that new Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus get head start over the arch-rival Apple, which is reportedly preparing stage for the launch of the new 2015 iPhone 6S series devices in September second week.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5: What we Know Far

Galaxy Note 5, internally know as 'Project Noble', is expected to flaunt a 5.7-inch super AMOLED QHD (2560x1440p) display and house the company's proprietary Exynos 7422 SoC (System on Chip) backed by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage with option for expansion via microSD card slot.

Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to come with new stylus - 'S-Pen', which is said to resemble an actual pen and come with matching phablet colours - gold, white, black and silver.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus: What we Know so Far

Word on the street is that the 5.7-inch Galaxy S6 Edge Plus aka 'Project Zen', will look like a stretched version of the original Galaxy S6 Edge (5.1-inch) with dual-edge display where-in phone's screen will extend towards the edge both right and left side.

Under the hood, it is said to ship with 32GB inbuilt memory, 16mp camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), 4K video recording ability, a 5mp snapper on the front and a 3000 mAh battery.

Going by the Samsung Philippines teaser, the company is also expected to unveil a tablet, probably 7-inch or 8-inch model. This is the first time we are hearing about this mystery Samsung tablet, as previous reports had only hinted at the South Korean company unveiling Galaxy Note 5 and the phablet version of the company's popular flagship phone Galaxy S6 Edge.

As of now, there is no word on what kind of hardware this new Samsung tablet will feature. We just have to wait for a few more hours to finally know what Samsung has in store for us.
