New features of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have started surfacing online, with its release date drawing near. Evleaks, which revealed several features of Galaxy S5 before its launch, recently hinted that the next-generation device might come with some interesting features and software upgrades.

Samsung's flagship device is expected to be unveiled and released in the first week of September and will have to take on the bigger model of Apple's iPhone 6, which is likely to be unveiled in the third week of September.

According to a tweet by Tech informant Evleaks, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have interesting features besides the upgrades.

The list of Android application packages (APK) posted by Evleaks suggested that the upcoming device will have colorblind settings, which will help adjust display based on the level of color-blindness. The feature is expected in Google's upcoming software Android L but "Colorblind" APK in the leaked file has suggested that the feature could be Samsung's.

The "OutOfFocusViewer", "PhotoStudio", and "SmartSelfShot" APKs in the list have hinted that users of Galaxy Note 4 could have a different photography experience. The "SStudio_WQHD" APK has also suggested that the device might sport a QHD display.

APKs like "SHealth3", "FingerPrintScanner" and a few others in the list were seen in other Samsung's products but the ones in Galaxy Note 4 may come with upgrades.

The South Korean electronics giant is expected to release two models of Galaxy Note 4 one to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and the other by Exynos 5433 8 Core, according to AnTuTu benchmark listings. The device may sport a 5.7-inch super Amoled display with a 2560x1440 resolution (500+ppi) and could be powered either by Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS or Android 4.5 Lollypop. It may also have S-Pen stylus powered by ultrasound technology with updated gestures and air command, and house 3GB LPDDR3 RAM.

According to a report by Samsung4Note website, the next-generation Note series may come with a 16MP rear camera with ISOCELL technology, 4K video recording and a 2MP front camera with 1,080p video recording and AnTuTu benchmark listings also hinted a 16MP rear and a 3.6MP front snapper. However, a report by G4Games (via ETNews) suggested that Galaxy Note 4's camera pixel could be reduced from 13MP seen in its predecessor to 12MP with an optical image stabilization (OIS). The device may also have ultrasound technology powered S-Pen stylus with updated gestures and air command.

Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming IFA Expo in Berlin before releasing a few weeks later. However, a report by ETNews has claimed that the Galaxy Note 4 might be unveiled released in the beginning of September. It will take on the larger variant of Apple's iPhone 6 which is expected to be unveiled on 19 September. The hype around 5.5-inch model of Apple's new device is also huge as the company is venturing into big screen handset for the first time.
