The South Korean electronics major had unveiled two flagship gadgets - Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Galaxy Gear smartphone, earlier this month in Berlin. The retail price for the Indian market will be revealed at the New Delhi event which is set to kick-off at 12:15 PM.

Latest reports suggest that Galaxy Note 3 (32GB model) would be priced around ₹50,000, while Galaxy Gear would cost around ₹20,000 or more.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3:

Samsung's third generation Galaxy phablet sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD 1920x1080p resolution and runs on the latest Android mobile OS v4.3 Jelly Bean. .

The India-bound Galaxy Note 3 variant will pack the company's in-house manufactured chipset, Exynos 5420 Octa-Core, (it has two quad-core processors-A15 1.9 GHz and A7 1.3 GHz) and come with 3GB RAM, which is more than enough for users to play heavy duty games with ease.

The phablet houses a 13.0-megapixel camera on the rear side with the ability to record 4K resolutions Ultra HD video (3840px2160p) at 30fps and full HD video at 60fps speed. It also features LED flash (High CRI) support to enable users to get good quality crisp pictures under low-light environment. On the front side, it houses a 2.0-megapixel secondary camera with full HD 1080p video recording capability.

Like all its predecessors, Galaxy Note 3 will also come with S Pen stylus functionalities featuring Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window S Note, Multi Window, new Easy Clip, and Direct Pen Input.

Samsung Galaxy Gear:

The new smartwatch comes with a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 320x320p resolution and features a 1.9-megapixel camera having BSI sensor and auto-focus capable of recording HD 720p video.

In terms of internal hardware, Galaxy Gear packs an 800 mAh processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB memory. It is powered by a 315mAh Li-Ion battery.

The safety assistance application found in the smartwatch would come in handy for consumers in India, considering the escalating violence against women in recent times. When faced with a dangerous situation, users just have to press the power button of Galaxy Gear thrice, prompting the smartwatch to quickly initiate the emergency response system by sending the user's geographical location data to a pre-designated set of contacts via SMS.

Another noteworthy feature of the smartwatch is that the user can answer calls directly from the smartwatch.

Currently, this smartwatch is compatible with only Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablets. Once the Android v4.3 update is released to Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 next month, owners of these aforementioned handsets will also be able to use the new smartwatch.
