Samsung Galaxy J series is already perceived as one of the most popular budget premium smartphones in India. The Galaxy J7, in particular, is the best of the Galaxy J series, which is affordable and packs powerful specs. Continuing the success of this series, Samsung is already working on a new smartphone, the Galaxy J7 (2017).

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) made an early appearance online, even before the company could officially confirm its existence. Priceraja spotted a listing of a Samsung smartphone with a model number SM-J727V on the import-export website Zauba, which is associated with the unannounced Galaxy J7 (2017).

According to the report, the South Korean tech titan will launch the said device in the first quarter of 2017 and has been imported to India for testing purposes. The handset's value has also been listed on Zauba as a sub-Rs. 15,000 smartphone, which will likely be the cost of the phone at launch.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy J7 (2017) will be an upgrade from its predecessor Galaxy J7 (2016). The new handset is said to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper like the current Galaxy J7 variant. But it will get a new chipset, possible by Exynos, and 3GB RAM.

It is surprising that the Galaxy J7 (2017) might sport a 3,000mAh battery, since its predecessor has a larger 3,300mAh unit. We'll just have to wait for the official word from the company to get these rumours verified.

Samsung Galaxy J series witnessed two other recent releases including Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime, which are priced Rs. 14,790 and Rs. 18,790, respectively.
