Even as speculations on Samsung's mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016), are doing the rounds for a while now, official user manuals of the company have exposed some vital information about the devices, including its features and possible design.

Samsung is tight-lipped on the release date of the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016), but it is expected to happen in June. The 2015 version of Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 were launched during this time of the year. However, there were also reports that the devices could be launched earlier than expected. 

The user manuals of the upcoming smartphones for China Mobile and China Telecom carriers are available on Samsung's website (via SamMobile) and they hinted that the devices will be first unveiled in China before pushing to other markets.

The antenna slits on the frames, as seen in the manuals, have given a hint that the devices could sport a metallic frame. The user manuals also hinted features like a removable battery, front-facing LED flash, Android 5.1 Lollipop, Samsung's music player app and NFC.

The devices have been cleared by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Chinese telecom equipment certification authority TENAA and Bluetooth SIG, so they are expected to be released soon.

The Galaxy J5 (2016) is expected to have a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 720×1,280 pixels, a 145.7×72.3×7.9 mm dimension and weigh 155.4 g, according to TENAA. The same source claimed that Samsung will release two variants of the Galaxy J7 (2016) -- SM-J7108 and SM-J7109 – with a 5.5-inch display with 1,920×1,080 pixels and 151.7×75.9×7.6 mm dimension. 

According to GFXBench benchmark, the Galaxy J5 (2016) will have a 5.2-inch display with 1,280x720 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 GPU and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The same source claimed that the Galaxy J7 (2016) will sport a 5.5-inch display with 1,920x1,080 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocking at 1.5GHz, house an Adreno 405 GPU and run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
