Samsung's yet-to-be released Galaxy J2 smartphone has been reportedly spotted on a benchmarking site, revealing key features.

Samsung's SM-J200F, believed to be the Galaxy J2, was seen on GeekBench

As per the listing, the new device is seen undergoing testing on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop powered by the ARM based 1.2GHz quad-core SoC (System on Chip) with 1GB RAM.

Going by the specification list, it is a major upgrade over its predecessor Galaxy J1, which was launched in India early this year.

The Galaxy J1 was a bit sub-par. It featured 512MB RAM, 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 4GB inbuilt memory and cost ₹7,000 (around $113), higher than the popular Redmi 2 and Moto E (2 Gen). It expectedly failed to get a good response from buyers.
