Salman Khan's upcoming movie "Sultan" proved to be a learning point for the superstar's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma before his expected Bollywood debut.

It has been reported that Aayush was appointed as the assistant director of "Sultan" to understand the nuances of film-making. A report in Bollywoodlife quoted film-critic Rajeev Masand saying that Aayush was roped in as assistant director of "Sultan" but only to observe the art of film-making on the sets of the movie.

The report said that Salman's brother-in-law did not do the usual running around that the assistant director generally does, but Aayush was present on the sets of "Sultan" to observe how a movie is made.

Salman has been personally guiding his sister Arpita Khan Sharma's husband Aayush in regard to his fitness and body-building for his big Bollywood debut, the report added. Aayush had also paid visits to the sets of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" as the aspiring actor was seen posting some behind-the-scene pictures of Salman from the sets on Instagram.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Sultan" is a sports drama that will present Salman as a wrestler from Haryana named Sultan Ali Khan. The film also features Anushka Sharma as Salman's love interest, Randeep Hooda as his coach and Amit Sadh in a key role.

It is one of the most awaited flicks of this year as there has been a lot of hype around the movie ever since it was announced. Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Sultan" is slated to be released on Eid this year.
