Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan's wedding reception, hosted by her in-laws on Monday (25 May) in Mandi, was a grand affair.

The "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor, who arrived in the small town in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, received a huge welcome by his fans who had gathered to have a glimpse of the superstar.

Besides Salman, the entire Khan family including father Salim Khan, mother Salma, brother Sohail and sister Alvira attended the reception.

Arpita looked gorgeous in a red lehenga with floral works, whereas the groom, Aayush Sharma, chose to go casual in a printed shirt and blue trouser.

Arpita's father-in-law and cabinet minister Anil Sharma organised a traditional feast on the occasion. In an interview with Indian Express, Sharma had earlier mentioned  that the entire family is honoured by the visit of Salman to the town and excited at bahu's (Arpita) home-coming.

Held at the local Gymkhana Club, the function was attended by over 15,000 people including prominent politicians and businessmen.

Arpita married Aayush last November in a grand ceremony held at Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, followed by a lavish reception in Mumbai. The reception in Mandi, which is Aayush's hometown, was postponed as the couple went on a three-week-long honeymoon; Salman's legal issues further delayed the celebration.
