Salman Khan's 'double' dhamaka: 'Bigg Boss 9', 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and others

Salman Khan has a number of upcoming projects and apparently, the superstar is going to offer something "double" in each venture.

Apart from three movies -- "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", "Sultan" and "Kick 2" -- Salman also has the much awaited reality TV show "Bigg Boss 9" lined up.

One thing common among all the four upcoming projects is that each of these has a "double" aspect.

Salman is ready to host "Bigg Boss 9", which is based on the theme "double trouble". Although, there is no confirmed report on the exact nature of the trouble that the contestants would have to face, rumour has it that the contestants would have to face their ex-partners, which will certainly double their trouble.

On the other side, Salman's immediate upcoming movie is "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which also features Sonam Kapoor. Salman will have double roles in the film -- as a prince named "Prem" and a fighter named "Vijay". Slated to hit the screens on 12 November, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" marks the collaboration of the superstar with director Sooraj Barjatya after a gap of 16 years; their last film together being "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in 1999.

Next, Salman will be seen in "Sultan", where he will play a wrestler from Haryana. Although he does not have any double role in the film, the actor stated that he will turn "double sized" for "Sultan".

"Audiences will see me in double size. My training for 'Sultan' has started, so I need to get bigger and fitter for the role," IANS quoted Salman as saying. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Sultan" is slated to be released on Eid next year.

Another much awaited project of Salman is "Kick 2". The superstar stormed the box office with the release of "Kick" in 2014 and the makers of the movie are now prepping for its sequel. Talking to a leading daily, Salman revealed that he will have double roles in the film.

"Work on the film's script is on. I had only given Sajid Nadiadwala the concept and now, he is working on the story. The movie will have a double role. The idea is mind-blowing. When he is done with the script and the screenplay, we will take it on the floors," DNA quoted Salman as saying.

Looks like Salman has a double treat for his fans with regard to each of his upcoming projects.
