Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and Aamir Khan's "PK" are set to fight for the title of "Most Entertaining Social Film" at the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2015.

One of the biggest award shows in India, the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2015 will be held on 13 December.

Both Salman's blockbuster "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and Aamir's "PK" broke several records at the box office. The two films have now been nominated for "Most Entertaining Social Film", reports Koimoi.

Directed by Kabir Khan, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was the story of an Indian man's journey to reunite a deaf and mute Pakistani girl, played by Harshaali Malhotra, with her family.

The film shows how the girl gets lost in India and how Salman's character battles all odds to take her back to her family in Pakistan. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" received superb response from both viewers and critics.

On the other side, Rajkumar Hirani's directorial "PK" presents Aamir as an alien and highlighted how religious superstitions affect people's lives. It still holds the record of the highest-grossing Indian film in overseas markets.

Apart from "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "PK", other nominations for "Most Entertaining Social Film" are "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" starring Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar's "Gabbar Is Back", Anushka Sharma starrer "NH-10" and "ABCD 2" featuring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor.

The award show will be marked by several performances by stars. Salman and Alia Bhatt's performances were confirmed earlier.
