"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has opened to positive reviews and is being dubbed as Salman Khan's best performance yet. This is happy news for the fans, but what could really get them thrilled is a possibility of the Kabir Khan directorial being made into a franchise.

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Eros International is set to kick-start a franchise-making division called Trinity Pictures whose head Ajit Thakur believes franchise films are easy to market.

"Characters become more important than the plot. You need to dig deeper into their larger-than-life personas. It's easier to market a franchise film, which comes every 18 to 24 months, as there's still an impact of the previous film. Franchises are not star-driven; they depend on the theme," he further elaborated.

Coincidentally, Salman has confirmed a third film with Kabir, which too has an emotional story. And, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has been co-produced by the production house in question. So, does this mean the makers are ready to make the film into a franchise? Only time will tell.

Talking to DNA, the superstar said the filmmaker brings out the best in him adding how his vision helps films in a major way.

"Bajrangi is a special film. It has touched people's hearts. It has a very emotional plot line and we are planning another film soon," he added.
