It is going to be Salman Khan versus Fawad Khan at the Pakistan box office on 2019 Eid. Salman's upcoming movie Bharat and Fawad's The Legend of Maula Jatt (Maula Jatt 2) are going to be released on the same day in Pakistan.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is apparently the most ambitious movie of the neighbouring country, and it will have a box office battle with Salman's big film.
"Salman Khan versus Fawad Khan... Pakistan is all set to release its most ambitious film #MaulaJatt on #Eid2019 *in their country* and Overseas... Salman's #Bharat is also confirmed for #Eid2019, so it will be Khan vs Khan at Pakistan BO... #TheLegendOfMaulaJatt [sic]," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
There is no doubt that Fawad is one of the biggest stars of Pakistan, but Salman too is highly popular there.
The actor's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was set on the backdrop of relation between the two nations, had worked very well at the Pakistan box office. Bharat too has an India-Pakistan connection, and hence can again strike a chord with the masses there.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also features Katrina Kaif. One of the first look stills from the movie had shown Salman and Katrina's characters standing in front of the Wagah border gate.
On the other side, The Legend of Maula Jatt is an action drama film that features Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik along with Fawad.
