Salman Khan recently made a quirky comment on Katrina Kaif during his appearance on Kapil Sharma's "Comedy Nights With Kapil", for which the superstar later apologised to the actress.

Salman appeared on the show during Diwali and one packet of crackers on the sets grabbed the actor's attention as it had Katrina's pictures on the cover.

The "Sultan" actor candidly asked Kapil what purpose did Katrina's pictures serve him. Salman also made fun of his ex-girlfriend by saying that she is of no use to Kapil and she was of no use to him either.

Apparently, this comment from Salman did not go well with Katrina who later called him and yelled at him. Salman then apologised to the actress.

"He (Salman) lives in a parallel universe, always making these jokes about me publicly, which get the media really kicked. Like the comment he made on Kapil's show when he saw my pictures on a set of crackers- 'She is of no use to me'. I called him and yelled at him. I can do that, it is the sort of equation we have. He said, 'Okay sorry I will apologise to the media'. I told him to do no such thing and maintain a dignified silence if that is possible," Katrina said in an interview with GQ.

Although Salman and Katrina's relationship did not last long, the two are still good friends.

"The base of my relationship with Salman was correct, it was true. Which is why we are still able to be friends," she added.
