Salman Khan is back with yet another striking episode of Weekend Ka Vaar. The actor once again impressed fans with his no-nonsense style and slammed Manjot Tiwari's daughter Rhiti for her alleged crass behaviour. Apart from this, Salman raised an important issue and reprimanded contestants, the media and social media users over the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake videos and voice clips.
During the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, Salman spoke about how AI technology has advanced to a point where manipulated videos and voice recordings can be difficult to distinguish from genuine content. He also revealed that he himself has been featured in AI-generated videos.
The actor pointed out that while some social media users may unknowingly share AI-generated content believing it to be real, those who knowingly create such material should be held accountable.
Salman called for legal action against people who deliberately produce and circulate fake AI videos. He also stressed the need for stronger regulation of social media to prevent such content from spreading.

"Kisi ne aapki AI voice leke dub karke kisi ko gaali bak di. You know what they're doing? AI videos bana rahe hai yeh. Bohot saare logon ke and even I am there in AI video," Salman said.
"Now, people who don't know it is AI-generated content might post that Salman Khan was there. But those who know this reality and still created the video, what kind of people are they? Now those kinds of people should be put behind bars. Jab tak koi ek aadh, do aisa andar jaayega nahi na, tab tak yeh rukne wala hai nahi. There has to be a law that needs to be passed, and there has to be censorship on social media," Salman said.

"Someone made an AI video, or did AI voice dubbing; that is wrong. AI has progressed so much that it's very scary. It's a very serious thing. You said something, and someone used AI to edit it and kisi ko gali bakdi. You know what they're doing? AI videos bana rahe hain yeh. Bahut saare logon ke, and even I am there in the AI video," he said.
Salman raises concern over social media trolling
Salman also spoke about how bullying and harassment have increasingly moved to social media, where people can post abusive or misleading material about others with relative ease.
He stressed that the growing use of AI makes the situation even more serious, as manipulated videos and cloned voices can make it difficult for viewers to immediately determine whether a piece of content is genuine.
'There has to be censorship on social media'
Salman reiterated his call for stronger regulation of social media platforms to tackle the spread of AI-generated misinformation and deepfake content.
"There has to be censorship on social media. And I am going to take this up very seriously," he said.
Salman says he has also been targeted
During the discussion, Salman pointed out that celebrities, including himself, can become targets of AI-generated content. He highlighted how cloned voices and manipulated videos can be used to create misleading situations and then circulated on social media.
He said the technology could make it difficult for viewers to determine whether a video is authentic, particularly when manipulated clips are shared without context.
Bigg Boss 20 continues
Salman is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20, which follows a "second chances" theme this season. While Yung DSA, Aasif Khan, ScoutOP, Uditi Singh and Kanika Mann have already lost one of their lives, the others still have two chances at survival. The latest contestant to be evicted from the show is Isha Rikhi.
