Doctor shares update on Salim Khan's health
Dr. Parkar revealed that Salim Khan was put on a ventilator as a safety measure due to high blood pressure upon admission. He also stated that a minor procedure was performed on February 18 after Khan suffered a small brain haemorrhage.
The doctor said, "He was having jerks, and his blood pressure was high. We treated him. We had to put him on a ventilator so that he would not worsen. It wasn't because he was critical. We conducted the required investigations. Today, we performed a small procedure—I will not go into its details. He is fine, stable, and has been shifted to the ICU. By tomorrow, he will likely be off the ventilator. He is doing quite well. Age is a factor, which is why the recovery process will take some time."
He added, "By tomorrow, hopefully, we will take him off the ventilator. Overall, he's doing quite well. Considering his age, the recovery may take longer."
Shutting down rumorus of Salim Khan being in critical condition, Dr Jalil Parkar also clarified that Salim Khan's condition was never as "critical" as numerous publications reported.
Salim Khan was reportedly rushed to the hospital early in the morning, around 8:30 am on February 17, brought in by the family doctor, Dr. Sandeep Chopra. Family members, including Seema, Sohail, and Salman Khan, have visited him to offer support.
