Sajid Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut with Salman Khan's "Kick", will helm another project next year - the Hindi version of Ram Charan's Telugu blockbuster, "Magadheera".

"Kick," remake of a Telugu film of the same name, is the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2014 (so far). The film surpassed the ₹200-crore mark in just 11 days and minted over ₹230 crore as lifetime collections at the Indian box office.

Following the stupendous success of "Kick", there has been a huge buzz on the film's sequel. It was speculated that Nadiadwala would direct Salman for the sequel soon.

However, the director has denied the rumours about the sequel and has confirmed that he will be directing Shahid Kapoor in his next project, which is a remake of "Magadheera."

"Magadheera," which released in 2007, is one of the biggest hits in the history of Telugu cinema. The historical fiction film is a story of reincarnation set in two different time periods.

While the Telugu film had Ram Charan in lead role, Kapoor will be reprising the "Zanjeer" actor's role in the Hindi version. Details about the film's lead actress and other cast and crew members are yet to be revealed.

It is expected to go on floors after Nadiadwala and Kapoor have completed their current commitments.

The actor is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film, "Shaandaar", while the director is focusing on his production banner and is funding three projects including Ranbir Kapoor's "Tamasha" and Saif Ali Khan's "Phantom."

The director has revealed that the scripting work for "Magadheera" remake will commence in April 2015 and the project will probably go on floors by the end of next year, reported Bollywood Hungama. It will be interesting to see if the remake also strikes gold at the office similar to Salman Khan's "Kick."
