Bangladesh, Dec 05 (ANI): At least three passengers died and 47 others sustained injuries as alleged miscreants removed fishplates from rail tracks in Gaibandha district of Bangladesh leading to derailment of a train during a nationwide blockade programme of the opposition parties. Earlier there was gunfire on the streets of Bangladesh as opposition parties extended their nationwide strike for two more days, seeking postponement of polls even as violence raged on. In the capital city of Dhaka, supporters of ruling Bangladesh Awami League shouted slogans against the nationwide blockade of opposition parties led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The supporters also burned the effigies of main opposition leader, Begum Khaleda Zia.
