The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of "S3" aka "Singam 3" have been sold for a record price. The makers of the film signed the deal for Rs. 41 crore, which is said to be the highest for the actor's film till date.

"Official update on #Singam3 TN rights sale.. #S3 shd be the long awaited blockbuster return for @Suriya_offl. [sic]" journalist Kaushik LM tweeted. A long list of companies had shown interest in acquiring the theatrical rights of "S3". In the end, Udhayam Entertainment was successful in striking the deal with the producer. There are also reports that the Malayalam and Telugu dubbing rights have been sold recently.

While Malkapuram Siva has reportedly bagged the Andhra and Nizam rights of "S3" for Rs. 18 crore, the Malayalam rights have fetched Rs. 3.6 crore to the producer. Meanwhile, the filming has been wrapped up in Vizag and Andhra Pradesh. The shooting of the movie commenced in January 2016.

"S3" is the third instalment in the highly successful "Singam" franchise. Suriya plays the role of a sincere and fiery police officer. Anushka Shetty is the main female lead in the movie and Shruti Haasan is a fresh addition to the latest flick.

Shruti Haasan plays the role of a journalist, who helps the cop bring down the empire of the antagonist in "S3." Radha Ravi, Nassar, Sumithra, Janaki Sabesh, Yuvarani, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Krish, Soori and others are in the cast.

KE Gnanavelraja has produced the movie and it is written and directed by Hari. Harris Jayaraj is the music director, Priya is the cinematographer and VJ Vijayan is the editor of the flick, which will hit the screens on Diwali.
