Akshay Kumar starrer "Rustom" has completed 17 days at the box office and has maintained a steady collection over its third weekend. After keeping a decent pace at the Indian box office on Saturday and Sunday, domestic earning of "Rustom" has crossed Rs. 120 crore.

The crime thriller has come up as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2016. "Rustom" has been more or less unaffected by other movie releases as the film continued its box office business at a steady pace. The Tinu Suresh Desai directorial has collected over Rs. 120 crore by the end of its 3rd weekend.

After collecting Rs. 26.11 crore in its second week, the film had taken its total domestic collection to Rs. 117.01 crore on its 14th day with a business of Rs. 2.47 crore on Thursday, which was a holiday for Janmashtami.

"Rustom" has now made a total nett domestic collection of Rs. 122.28 crore in 17 days, after another impressive weekend performance. The film seems to be unstoppable as it continued to bring in good moolah even on its 3rd weekend, Sunday collection being extremely good. Even though "A Flying Jatt" had released on this Friday, it could not slow down "Rustom."

"#Rustom is ROCK-STEADY...[Week 3] Fri 1.29 cr, Sat 1.89 cr, Sun 2.09 cr. Weekend 3: 5.27 cr. Total: 122.28 cr. India biz. SUPER HIT!," tweeted Taran Adarsh.

Inspired by Nanavati murder case, "Rustom" has become Akshay's third highest grossing movie ever, after "Airlift" and "Rowdy Rathore." The film enjoyed good word of mouth and has broken a number of box office records. Also, with negative reviews and slow start at box office by "A Flying Jatt," "Rustom" is likely to make its presence felt at the theatres for some more coming days. Co-produced by Neeraj Pandey, the film also featured Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.
