Gajapati, Nov 24 (ANI): Overcoming the fear of Maoists in Odisha, villagers in Gajapati district came out to avail the central government’s ‘Indira Awas Yojana’ (Rural housing scheme). It is noteworthy that Maoists have a stronghold in Gajapati district where welfare projects generally do not succeed due to Maoist influence. But, villagers are taking up the rural housing scheme in S. Kurlunda village of the district, willingly. Block development officer of the village N.C. Mishra said that financial assistance has been provided to the people to construct houses.
