For Malayalam cinema, September and October have been special with the release of some of the best films in recent times.

From "Ennu Ninte Moideen" to "Rani Padmini", the industry is back with some record-breaking flicks at the box office.

Apart from doing good business at the Kerala box office, the films have also become popular for its songs. 

Check out the list of top hit Malayalam songs of October below:

'Amar Akbar Anthony' - 'Yenno Njaanende'

The beautiful song "Yenno Njaanende", sung by baby Shreya was released on 22 October. The song, featuring baby Meenakshi, was one of the most awaited songs by the audience ever since the release of "Amar Akbar Anthony" starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya in the lead roles. While Baappu Vaavaad has penned the lyrics, director Nadirshah has composed the music.

'Amar Akbar Anthony' - 'Premamennal Enthanu Penne'

Another song of the film "Premamennal Enthanu Penne" also tops the chart list and has been viewed by nearly three lakh users after it was released by Sony Music South on 14 October. While Nadirshah has penned and composed the music, the lead actors have sung the hit song.

'Kanal' - 'Pathuke Entho' 

Mohanlal starrer "Kanal", directed by M Padmakumar, was released on 22 October and opened to mixed reviews. The romantic song in the crime thriller "Pathuke Entho", sung by Neha Nair featuring Mohanlal and Honey Rose has been viewed by more than one lakh users ever since it was released on 16 October. While Ouseppachan has composed the music, Dr Madhu Vasudevan has written the lyrics. 

'Kohinoor' - 'Hemanthamen'

Asif Ali's debut production venture "Kohinoor" has done decent business at the Kerala box office and the film's romantic song "Hemanthamen" featuring Asif and Aparna Vinod is one of the most searched Malayalam film songs. It has been viewed by more than six lakh users after Musik247 released it on YouTube on 5 September. The song has been sung by Vijay Yesudas and the music has been composed by Rahul Raj. The song has been written by Harinarayanan B.K.

'Ennu Ninte Moideen' - 'Kaathirunnu Kaathirunnu', 'Mukkathe Penne', 'Kannondu Chollanu'

Not just box office collection records, "Ennu Ninte Moideen" has also become popular for its beautiful songs. The three songs of the film have been on the top of the chart list ever since they were released by Satyam audios in September. 

While Shreya Ghoshal's "Kaathirunnu Kaathirunnu" song has been viewed by seven lakh people, "Kannondu Chollanu", sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Vijay Yesudas, has been viewed by 1 million users. Meanwhile, "Mukkathe Penne" has been viewed by a record 2.5 million social media users.

The lyrics have been penned by Rafeeq Ahamed and Jayachandran has composed the music for the three songs.
