Ronaldinho to feature in the Indian Super League? There is speculation that the Brazil footballer could sign up to play for franchise Chennai Titans.

Ronaldinho, a World Cup winner in 2002, has not been employed by a club since parting ways with Atletico Mineiro in July. Brazilian football club Palmeiras were close to signing a deal with him to turn out for them but that came to nothing.

Ronaldinho, now 34 years old, is in talks with the Chennai-based ISL club, according to Prashant Agarwal , one of the co-owners of Chennai Titans.

"Yes, we have been in touch with Ronaldinho and his representatives for the last one week or so," said Agarwal to football website Goal.com .

Agarwal, however, played down rumours about the money that may be spent buying the Brazilian supertsra and the time he may spend playing for Chennai Titans if selected.

"I would like to clarify that the numbers such as $3 million or Rs 36 crores for two years doing the rounds in the market are absolutely false," Agarwal pointed out.

Apart from Ronaldinho, former Italian World Cup winner Alessandro Del Piero will turn out in the Indian Super League for Delhi Dynamos. Former French World Cup winner David Trezeguet will also participate in the for FC Pune City in the tournament.

Agarwal ,who is the CEO of Kshatriya Sports, advanced that the company had played a crucial role in convincing Del Piero and Trezeguet to sign up to play for their respective teams. To add to this Agarwal also put forth that Kshatriya Sports does not need any other agents to advance this deal to Ronaldinho.

"We have been in direct contact with Ronaldinho's agent. If we can manage to get Del Piero and Trezeguet to India on our own, why should we need Ronaldinho via a third party," Agarwal said.

Interestingly there was some talk of Ronaldinho calling it a day after he left Atletico Mineiro in July. Ronaldinho, who has not been selected for Brazil in the last two World Cups, squashed those talks, though.

"Retirement, for now, is not a possibility," he said.
