The clearance given by the National Anti-Doping Agency to Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav on Monday afternoon was greeted with a lot of celebrations. With just four days to go, the 26-year-old wrestler can give his full attention to the Rio Olympics 2016.

"I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting me justice. I was always training during this phase and I hope to win a medal at Rio," said the 74 kg wrestler after the verdict was announced by NADA director general Navin Agarwal.

While the clean chit has been given by NADA, the question remains now is whether Narsingh indeed will be going for the games in Rio de Janeiro. Sports Minister Vijay Goel mentioned that the participation of the Commonwealth Games 2010 gold medallist will depend on the decision of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), the International Wrestling Federation, IOC (International Olympic Committee) and WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency).

What happens now needs to be seen, but a huge smile has appeared on the faces of Indian sports fans after the verdict. "My son doesn't even drink tea, forget about any other kind of addiction," said Narsingh's mother from Varanasi.

Twitterati joined in the celebrations too. From fellow wrestler Sushil Kumar to sports fans, they tweeted their support to the wrestler and wished him luck ahead of the Rio games.
