The women's archery team event will be held at the Sambodromo on August 7, Sunday. From round of 16 to the finals of the women's team archery competition, the fans will get to witness all of it on Sunday.

India have a real good opportunity to go for a medal at this event. Deepika Kumari-led Indian women's archery team stood second at the world championship and that too ahead of the reigning champions South Korean women's team.

Kumari, Laxmirani Majhi and Bombayla Devi Laishram can repeat their world championship performance at the Sambodromo on Sunday.

Atanu Das impressed in the men's single's event earlier for India and now it is time for the women's team to step up and give their best.

In order to do well at the big stage, the Indian archery team even gave the opening ceremony a miss. One will be hoping that their hard work pays them off with medals.

However, things are not going to be easy of course. South Korean women's team will be one of the biggest hurdles for Kumari and co. if they will want to win the gold medal in this particular event.

Ki Bo-bae, Choi Mi-sun and Chang Hye-jin will be tipped to clinch the gold medal at the Rio Olympics 2016 archery women's team event.

The Russian team is no less either. Ksenia Perova-led Russian women's archery team took the gold medal at the World Championships last year. They defeated the in-form South Korean team in the finals.

Other nations like Mexico, Japan, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Gerogia and Ukraine will also be competing in this event at the Sambodromo in Rio on Sunday.

It will be interesting to see if Kumari and co. can outclass their opponents to clinch medals at the Rio Olympics on Sunday in Archery.

Women's archery event is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. local time (1 p.m. BST, 5.30 p.m. IST) at Sambodromo, Rio de Janeiro, on Aug. 7.
