"Oh lord! I can only pray that no woman is born in this country. Idiots are lined up at every step and people are highly insensitive towards our sufferings. If you are born in this country, better prepare yourself for struggle at every step or die within every day," says the latest Facebook post of IAS officer Riju Bafna, who had filed a complaint against Santosh Chaubey, Aayogmitra of MP Human Rights Commission, for sending her indecent messages.

Bafna shared her experience with the judiciary while she was giving statement in connection with the sexual harassment case on Saturday, 1 August. She had requested the Judicial Magistrate to ask others leave the courtroom as she wasn't comfortable giving the statement in front of them. That was when an advocate named Lalit Sharma yelled at her.

"Lalit Sharma started shouting at me, saying "how dare you suggest me to leave, I am an advocate here and you might be an officer in your office but not in the Court," Bafna, a 2014 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, writes.

Even though she informed that she is demanding privacy as a woman and not as an IAS officer, the advocate argued again, before leaving the court room.

Meanwhile, on asking the Judicial Magistrate to be careful about the presence of other people while a woman is giving statement in similar cases, he allegedly said that the IAS officer is demanding such rules as she is young.
